My Girlfriend Is An Escort

I am not secretive about the fact that my girlfriend is a professional escort. But if you think about it, “what does your girlfriend do for a job?” is not the sort of question that comes up normally when you are talking to casual acquaintances. Let alone to people for the first time. But it definitely comes up (pun intended) with your close friends. But I am comfortable enough in myself and in my relationship with both my girl friend and my close friends that I am happy to tell them. And if they find that they can not handle it, then they are not close friends anyway, so to hell with them.

IMG_5097In reality, only one friend of mine has taken exception to the fact that when my girl friend is travelling for work she is actually jetting off to places such as Benidorm to work for escort firms like 2nd Circle. Basically, the woman with whom I am romantically involved travels to exotic locations to have sex with strange men for money. And occasionally strange women, couple and multiple men at the same time. And yes, she earns a lot more money than I do. Surely all that is an assault on my manhood and masculine pride? Surely it must make me insecure, jealous and paranoid? If the average man is bothered by the number of men their woman had had sex with and whether their cock is big enough, what is it like to be in love with a woman who has, in the immortal words of one of my friends, had more pricks than a second hand dart board?

The simple answer is, I am cool with it. I long since realised that there is a difference between sex and love. And that there is a difference between what we do with our bodies for work and who we are. Most people sell their bodies and time in exchange for money. Whether they work in a factory or a bar. Sell shares over the telephone or fight people in a boxing ring. We all sell our bodies and what they can do, it is just that we normally sell the outsides of them while a sex worker sells all their bodies and minds. So I have no problem dating a sex worker. And of someone else has a problem with that, it is their problem not mine.
